English Conversation Classes

English conversation classes are held each Monday morning during the school term from 10am to 12 noon.  Leaders have been especially trained to help people learn and become more confident in their use of the English language.  Activities are varied and are fun as well!  You will enjoy the morning, and get to know others as well.

Christian Community Aid

This community organisation is generously supported by many West Epping members who volunteer in areas such as office administration, food drives and hampers, meals on wheels and by visiting lonely and isolated people in our community.  For more information about the activities of CCA please visit www.ccas.org.au

Christmas Bowl

Act for Peace is the international aid agency of the National Council of Churches in Australia.  The Uniting Church is an active member.  Through the Christmas Bowl, Act for Peace supports programs offering hope and a future to communities in Burma, South Sudan, Iraq, Gaza, Pakistan and other counties who are impacted by violence, war and poverty.  Every Christmas West Epping contributes to the Christmas Bowl by encouraging everyone to make a financial contribution equivalent to the cost of having one extra guest at their dinner table on Christmas Day.

Operation Christmas Child

Each year West Epping members support this project by lovingly filling a shoe box with useful gifts at Christmas for needy children living in poverty stricken circumstances.

Steps with Hope

Founded by a West Epping member, Steps with Hope now supports Khmer children in Cambodia.  The Cambodian Christian School was set up and provides education and healthy food for 70 under privileged children. West Epping supports this project in a number of ways during the year.  For more information about Steps with Hope please visit www.stepswithhope.org
