| | Welcome to our 14th Advent Workshop. Children hear the real story of Christmas, the story of Jesus' birth, through being involved in story, music, movies, activities, dramas, games, art and craft.
It is always a special occasion when a member of a royal family is born. This year our theme "A King is Born" will help us to explore the very different story of a lowly king born in a manger, entrusted to human care, who will become a servant of all. Jesus is a different kind of king. A king without riches, or pomp, or ceremony, but a king nonetheless. He is a servant king --- one whose majesty shines through at Christmas time.
For all children from 4 years old to Year 6. Children from non-English speaking backgrounds, and children with disabilities are most welcome to join in the activities of the workshop and, as far as possible, will be given an individual carer.
The afternoon begins with registration and afternoon tea in the church hall. We seek to tailor all the activities to suit the interests and abilities of your child, so that each child is assisted in their preparation for Christmas.
Fees are $15 per child for the 2 Tuesdays, plus Christmas Eve celebrations. There is a maximum fee of $45 per family. Please make cheques out to "WEUC Children's Ministry". To enrol please ring Ken or Joy Lynch on 9871-0595, or email them at weppinguca@netscape.net, and they will help you complete the registration process.
All leaders of this program will comply with the Working with Children Check under the relevant NSW legislation. |

| | Bond is Back and so is the JAFFA Club!!!!!! After a short break the JAFFA club is back in full swing over the summer.
To kick off we are going to the premier of Casino Royale, the latest movie in the James Bond phenomena.
Thursday the 7th of December at Reading Cinemas Auburn.
The session starts at 9pm. If you would like a discount ticket of $11 you must be there an hour before the session, otherwise you may wish to give your money to Matt Telfer or Rod Joyce prior to the night.
Critics have called this the best Bond ever, so be one of the first to see if they are right. Dinner is available at Subway or the Alcatraz Cafe. See you there.
